I was playing with this on flikr… and thought it would be fun to post here, feel free to make a sentence from the word garden and put it in the comments.  It’s fun to see what you can come up with and to see what others have made too!

Okay, so here are eight random facts about me in no particular order (and completely off the top of my head)

1) I’m gleening most of this from my 100… there isn’t that much about me that isn’t posted and I’m not all that interesting anyway!

2) I don’t feel at all close to my age. I’m waiting. I know one morning it will kick me in the butt.

3) Half way through college I was torn on majors. I really wanted an english degree and to teach. I ended up with a nursing degree soley because I could make more money with less of a time investment. I was a single parent at the time. I never regreted the decision, but it seems overly selfish given the job at hand.

4) I love to go to different places, but I don’t particularily like to fly or drive.

5) I can’t imagine going a day without reading.

6) I’m not much of a TV watcher, but it’s on alot for background noise… I think I might be attention deficiet because I lose interest in most programs before they end.

7) I’m the fixer, builder, repairer in the family. Husb is the “domestic one” in our partnership

8) I don’t mind being tagged in blog posts, in fact, I enjoy it. But I’m not all that comfortable tagging others.
So while I like participating in tags, I tend to leave an open “if you want to join in, go ahead and tag yourself. Go ahead, don’t be shy. Tag yourself. And it’s okay, the rumors aren’t true, you won’t go blind if you tag yourself too often.

1. Explain what ended your last relationship? Honestly, he was a great guy… I dumped him so I could be single because *someone else* was suddenly single… It worked.

2. When was the last time you shaved? A couple of weeks ago, I’m growing it because everything (EVERYTHING) is getting waxed soon for a trip.

3. What were you doing this morning at 8 a.m.? Sleeping

4. What were you doing 15 minutes ago? Watching TV, playing with Grandson and catching up on some blog reading (all at the same time).

5. Are you any good at math? I hold my own through Algebra, then I’m lost

14. Do you draw your name in the sand when you go to the beach? I have, but not in a long time.

15. What was the most painful dental procedure you have had? Skin was taken from the roof of my mouth and sewn into my lower gums for recession. The donor site sucked for two weeks. (Don’t over stretch your tongue piercing… there is only so much room in there!)

16. What is out your back door? A fire escape, windchimes, mini-bbq, a parking lot.

17. Any plans for Friday night? Hang with the kids, maybe watch a movie.

8 secrets

I was tagged by Art and now I have to tell you eight secrets… which I guess won’t be so secret anymore will they? There really isn’t much you don’t already know, I had to dig kind of deep.

1. My second marriage was a huge mistake, I married because I thought it would be my last chance at “happiness”. It lasted a month.

2. My second husband was black. A few people have had such a strong reaction (yes, I know what century it is) that I seldom offer that detail.

3. Some of the things you think are my good qualities, I view as my weaknesses. I do not believe that I am strong, pretty or a good enough parent, thus I always try harder to improve those areas (and more).

4. In college I cut my wrist, requiring stitches… I was drunk and thought I wanted to kill myself. In hind sight I just needed a hug.

5. As recently as a few years ago, I seriously considered suicide again. I played with a loaded gun for about an hour, I knew my kids would never forgive me… so I didn’t do it. I may have given them life, but more than once, they’ve saved mine. I’m pretty sure I’m over *the suicide thing* now.

6. I’ve driven drunk with children in the car on more than one occasion. The thought terrifies me today.

7. When I was single, I was fairly whorish… but I’ve never been unfaithful in a relationship or marriage.

8. I’m getting botox on Monday… no one really knows yet, but I’m going to try to get pictures for ya.

Since I have a “no tag” policy… I’m looking for volunteers to grab it… go ahead and spill the beans.
